We are a software and services company specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP), that is, automating the extraction of information from text.
We are here to help you automate any type of document processing, and analyze and extract information from the most complex types of documents and texts.
Our flagship products have been in use for two decades, formerly developed at Text Analysis International Inc. They include the VisualText integrated development environment (IDE), the NLP++ programming language, and the Conceptual Grammar KBMS (knowledge base management system).
Directors

Amnon Meyers
CEO and founder of conceptual systems
Amnon has more than three decades of cutting-edge experience in the area of natural language processing, leading the creation of innovative systems and approaches in aerospace and in the university. He is the creator of NLP++ and the Conceptual Grammar – the two components for the current NLP-Engine. Bio: MS Computer Science UC Berkeley, MS Organic Chemistry UC Berkeley, BS Biology MIT. Eleven years in aerospace NLP R&D (McDonnell Douglas & TRW). Five years at UC Irvine AI Lab on DARPA/Navy projects. Amnon is currently CTO of Conceptual Systems LLC (California) and participates in the open-source projects NLP++, VisualText, and the Conceptual Grammar.
In a historical note, Amnon’s VOX system, built for DARPA/NOSC 1983-1988, directly gave rise to the well-known MUC (Message Understanding Conference) NLP evaluation workshops.

David de Hilster
CTO and COO
David de Hilster is a computer scientist in the area of artificial intelligence and natural language processing (NLP). David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Linguistics, both from Ohio State University and has been working in industry as a computer scientist for four decades in the areas of artificial intelligence, online gaming, and supercomputers. David is the founder of the Natural Language Understanding Global Initiative and currently is an Adjunct Professor at Northeastern University in Miami.
David is renowned for his pioneering work in natural language processing, having co-authored the computer language NLP++ and the Integrated Development Environment (IDE) VisualText. He has given lectures at universities and mentored students from around the world on intelligent programming using NLP++. David is also involved in developing the first university courses on rule-based NLP using NLP++ and is founder and director of the Natural Language Understanding Global Initiative whose objectives is the transfer of human knowledge to computers using NLP++.
David is also an accomplished artist, filmmaker, and theoretical physics aficionado. His artworks have been sponsored by the Los Angeles Country Museum of Art Rental gallery and are bought by private collectors. He is also president of the John Chappell Natural Philosophy Society where he has work for decades with some of the greatest minds outside mainstream physics. He is finishing a second book on a physical model of the universe with his father entitled “The Four Universal Motions in Physics”. David has also produced and directed the feature-length documentary “Einstein Wrong – The Miracle Year,” which explores the problems with Einstein theory of relativity.
